Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Diamond Sense ("Diamond Sense," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). We built Diamond Sense to be used by players of all ages, including kids — so we've tried to keep this simple and to collect only what we need to make the app work.

Information We Collect

When you use Diamond Sense, we may collect the following:

• Account information. If you create an account, we collect basic identifiers (such as an email address) used to sign you in and sync your data across devices, via Firebase Authentication.
• Player profile data. Player name (or nickname), selected sport, and difficulty/position preferences you choose within the app. Multiple player profiles can exist under one account (for example, a parent adding profiles for more than one child).
• Gameplay and progress data. Your answers to in-app scenarios, accuracy statistics, streaks, level, XP, and earned badges, stored via Firebase to power the Progress and Badges screens and any leaderboard features.
• Purchase information. If you subscribe to Diamond Sense Pro, purchase transactions are processed by Apple's App Store and managed through RevenueCat. We do not see or store your payment card details — RevenueCat and Apple handle that directly.
• Device and usage data. Standard technical information (such as device type and app version) that Firebase may collect automatically to keep the app running reliably and to diagnose crashes.

We do not collect precise real-time location, and we do not require access to your contacts, photos, or camera to use the core app.

How We Use Information

• To operate core app features — gameplay, progress tracking, badges, and streaks
• To sync your data across devices when you're signed in
• To process subscription purchases and restore purchases you've already made
• To maintain and improve app performance and fix bugs
• To respond if you contact us for support

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to serve targeted third-party advertising.

Third-Party Services

Diamond Sense relies on a small number of trusted service providers to operate:

• Firebase (Google). Authentication, data storage (Firestore), and basic app diagnostics. See Firebase's privacy documentation.
• RevenueCat. Manages subscription purchases and entitlements. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
• Apple App Store. Handles payment processing for all in-app purchases and subscriptions.

These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually or otherwise bound to handle it responsibly. We do not share your information with any other third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Children's Privacy

Diamond Sense is designed to be usable by young athletes, including children under 13, typically under the supervision of a parent or coach who sets up the account. We do not knowingly collect more information from a child than is necessary for the app to function (a display name and gameplay progress), we do not serve targeted advertising to any user, and we do not permit public chat or messaging between users.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with information beyond what's described here, or you'd like that information reviewed or removed, please contact us using the information below.

Data Retention & Deletion

We retain account and gameplay data for as long as your account remains active, so your progress is there when you come back. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us — see below.

Your Choices

• You can review and update player profile information within the app.
• You can request a copy of your data or request that it be deleted by contacting us.
• You can restore or manage subscriptions through your Apple ID account settings.

Security

We use industry-standard tools (including Firebase's built-in security infrastructure) to help protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the app evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
